Introducing the SigenStor NEO: A Simpler, More Affordable Home Battery

Sigenergy has been making waves in the Australian solar battery market with its flagship SigenStor, a powerful, intelligent home energy system that’s earned a strong reputation. The one sticking point? The premium price tag that comes with it.

The SigenStor NEO is Sigenergy’s answer to that.

Launched in March 2026 at the inauguration of Sigenergy’s Nantong Smart Energy Centre, it’s a new residential battery system built around one core idea: make home energy storage simpler and up to 30% more affordable than traditional setups.

What Makes It Different?

Most battery systems are a collection of separate components, inverter, gateway, battery, controller, all wired together. More parts means more labour, more cost, more complexity. For many homeowners, navigating that complexity is half the battle.

The NEO rolls everything into one integrated unit:

  • Solar inverter
  • Battery system
  • Energy management system
  • Backup capability (0ms switchover)

With the new inbuilt smart port and backup port there is no need for a mandatory external gateway. Rear-wired for a cleaner install. Faster commissioning. Less for your installer to do, which means less on your invoice.

Where it gets interesting is the intelligence behind it. The NEO’s AI energy management doesn’t just store and release power, it learns your household’s habits. Over time it figures out when you use the most energy, optimises when to charge and discharge, and works to reduce your costs automatically. Less a piece of equipment you manage, more a system that manages itself.

It comes with battery modules in 6kWh or 8kWh sizes, stackable up to 6 modules, covers both single and three-phase homes, and is V2H-ready for future EV integration.

It won’t suit everyone. Large homes, off-grid setups, or high-energy users will likely want the full SigenStor. But for the average household that’s been sitting on the fence because batteries felt too expensive or too complicated, this is built for you.
